Jenny Slatten is officially preparing to move back to the United States, and this time she’s taking her husband Sumit with her.
The news came directly from Jenny’s daughter Christina, who announced in her recent Instagram reel that the family has started the visa process for Sumit. She explained that Jenny’s doctors told her she cannot travel alone because of the long international flight and her medical condition, which is why Sumit has become her full‑time caregiver and must accompany her.
Christina said the goal is to bring Jenny home so she can receive additional ALS medical treatment using her U.S. health insurance. In her reel, Christina shared that she has already spoken with her senator’s office to understand the process, and she learned that India, Thailand, and the United States are among the busiest visa hubs in the world. Because of that, the emergency tourist spousal visa they are applying for may take time, and there is no guarantee that Sumit will be approved. She also explained that they are not applying for a green card right now because that route would be much longer and more complicated under current immigration conditions. Jenny’s doctor provided medical documentation confirming her diagnosis and stating that she cannot travel without assistance, which is part of the evidence submitted with the visa request.
