Reality TV star Veronica Rodriguez was recently for alleged domestic violence involving her fiancé, Seth Daryoushfer — and the news immediately reignited old tensions with her ex‑boyfriend, Jamal Menzies.
Instead of staying quiet, Jamal used the moment to gloat online, implying that fans owed him an apology for doubting him in the past. He suggested that he, too, had been a victim of Veronica’s behavior but chose not to speak publicly at the time to avoid damaging her reputation. In one of his Instagram comments, he even referred to Veronica as “Ms. Mike Tyson,” clearly trying to paint a picture of someone who had no issue getting physical during heated arguments and hinting that her arrest was only a matter of time.
But Jamal’s trolling didn’t land well with many viewers — or with some of his fellow cast members. Usman “Sojaboy” Umar, who famously dated Jamal’s mother Kimberly, jumped into the conversation with a lengthy Instagram comment of his own. Usman accused Jamal of being no better than Veronica and claimed Jamal only became famous because he pushed Kimberly to bring her son onto the show. Usman even referenced the memorable PS5 scene filmed in Nigeria, saying he had welcomed Jamal warmly, only for Jamal to return to the U.S. and backstab him by convincing Kimberly to leave the relationship. According to Usman, Jamal is “dangerous,” untrustworthy, and willing to say or do anything for clout and screen time — and therefore had no business publicly bashing his ex.
