 Amani Jlassi has been candid about her struggles with insecurity and body dysmorphia, especially after appearing on 90 Day Fiancé and facing harsh criticism from fans. 


Many viewers of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise are known to target female cast members for their looks, and Amani admitted in the past that the flood of negative comments pushed her deeper into self-doubt. In response, she underwent multiple cosmetic procedures, including a rhinoplasty (nose job), fillers, Botox, liposuction, and a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). However, she later confessed that these surgeries only worsened her insecurities rather than fixing them, leaving her with regret about altering her natural appearance.

Recently, Amani revealed that the pressure from work, social media, and her personal life became overwhelming, leading her to voluntarily check herself into a mental hospital. She described the experience as a breaking point but also a turning point in her journey. After leaving treatment, she shared that she felt stronger and more grounded, even celebrating her recovery with a family trip to Japan alongside her husband Matt and their children. This marked a fresh chapter for Amani, one where she is prioritizing mental health and family over external validation.  


In her latest Instagram updates, Amani announced that she has dissolved all her fillers, plans to let her Botox wear off naturally, and will remove her implants next month. She openly blamed her cosmetic surgeries for contributing to her depression, admitting that changing her body did not help her love herself—it only made her feel worse. Amani also expressed sadness that other cast members continue to pursue repeated surgeries, seemingly throwing shade at Darcey and Stacey Silva, who recently traveled to Turkey for their fifth full-body makeover. By contrast, Amani declared that she is going natural and stepping away from the cycle of cosmetic enhancements, embracing authenticity as her path forward.
