Jasmine Pineda and her baby daddy Matt Branis have been crumbling for a while now, and even Jasmine’s starting to admit it publicly.
From day one, this relationship had red flags all over it. Matt only approached Jasmine at the gym because he knew exactly who she was—he stalked her, saw an opening, and pounced because he wanted another shot at American Reality TV fame after failing as an actor. Jasmine, on the other hand, was desperate to leave Gino and needed a place to crash, someone to split bills with. Matt was her escape plan, plain and simple. Then came their unplanned baby girl, and while we hope it really was unplanned, some people can’t help but wonder if Jasmine saw that pregnancy as a way to lock in her place in the U.S. and secure her goals.
Everyone knows Jasmine has serious anger issues—she yells, throws fits, even gets physical, and she doesn’t care who she’s lashing out at. Lately, though, people have started speculating that Matt’s been suffering behind closed doors. The signs were there, and now Jasmine herself has confirmed it in an emotional Instagram Story where she basically admitted to mistreating him. She didn’t say the words “I’m sorry” straight up until the end of her caption, but she called him patient, loving, and caring while admitting she keeps pushing him away. She blamed her damage on Gino, saying he broke her and now Matt is stuck trying to fix something he didn’t even break in the first place.
But here’s the deal—Jasmine and Matt aren’t in love. At least, she’s not. Anyone following this couple's journey can tell they’re just riding out their time on the show. Once their 15 minutes are up, they’ll most likely be done. Jasmine admitted in her Story that she knows she treated Matt badly, but she doesn’t want him to forget that she cares… which kind of says everything. This was never about love—it was about survival, attention, and opportunity. And once the cameras stop rolling, they’ll probably go their separate ways, doing what they have to for their daughter Matilda, but nothing more.
