Miss Debbie exposes Ruben for being a scammer

 Viewers of the fourth season of 90 Day: The Single Life were thrilled to see Debbie Aguero finally finding a man who shares her artistic interests and is close to her age. Ruben The Cuban was everything that her ex-partner, Oussama from Morocco, was not. However, behind the scenes, things were not as they seemed.


It all started when Ruben decided to use his 15 minutes of fame to launch a campaign to help his sick and poor friend. His old buddy was suffering from a life-threatening condition called septic shock and couldn't afford to fix the significant gaps in his roof. Ruben hoped that the fans of 90 Day Fiancé would donate $10,000 as a start so that his buddy could buy a camper to temporarily live in while they wait for other kind-hearted people to donate another $100,000. The plan was to use the additional $100,000 to pay contractors to fix his friend's broken and moldy house.


Ruben is Debbie's supposed "boyfriend" on the reality TV show. That means his shady actions in real life could impact both his and Debbie's reputations, especially when the show's fans are involved. Debbie felt distasteful when Ruben tried to use his newfound fame to ask for donations for a cause that could have been resolved without public attention. In an Instagram comment, Debbie expressed her suspicion about Ruben's donation campaign, and she called it sketchy. She suggested that Ruben's friend could get help from Habitat for Humanity or home repair ministries. Debbie clarified that she is not involved in Ruben's actions, and whatever he is doing, he is doing alone.

During a conversation in the comments section of fellow castmate Riley Diego's Instagram post, Miss Debbie referred to her reality TV boyfriend as "Ruben the scamming Cuban.". However, she later deleted the comment after Riley asked her to do so. Riley, who prefers to stay away from drama and has good relationships with all the cast members, wanted to remain neutral and not get involved in any off-screen drama.


A few days after the incident, Miss Debbie posted an Instagram reel where she indirectly threw shade at both Riley and Ruben. She captioned the video with a quote: "If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor." The 68-year-old felt disappointed that Riley did not support her, as she believed her side was the correct one.
