On the fourth season of 90 Day: The Single Life, Jamal Menzies was dating Veronica Rodriguez, and Luisa Beltran was with Tim Malcolm, and by the end of the season, both of those relationships failed. During the Tell-All episodes, the show producer wanted the viewers to believe that Jamal and Luisa were dating each other behind the scenes to add more drama to the show, and with the right manipulative editing, they made that a reality.

This week, Jamal and Luisa went live together on Instagram to answer many of their fans' questions and give a life update. During their joint livestream, the cast members of 90 Day: The Single denied the dating rumors and clarified that they were just friends without benefits, despite how they were portrayed on the show. Many 90-Day Fiancé fans were present in the Instagram Live room and were surprised to learn that the pairs were not dating. Fans assumed Jamal and Luisa were dating due to their chemistry on the Tell-All, where they teamed up to expose Veronica and Tim's lies.

The 10-year age difference between Jamal and Veronica was one of the main obstacles to their relationship. Jamal, 27, wasn't ready to settle down, but Veronica was ready to be wifed up. Veronica was frustrated by Jamal's lack of communication in their long-distance relationship. He would often ignore her text messages and take a day to reply.
